Roberta and I were meeting with a wardrobe stylist when we heard the news of Kate Spade passing. In memory of all the beauty she created, we wanted to share our favorite Kate Spade wedding pieces. Kate Spade has always been my go to for special gifts for engagements and wedding showers. When she first came out with the "pop, fizz, clink" merchandise, I started to really fall in love with the brand. The packaging, the specialty pieces, and even the shoes. I owned one pair of Kate Spade heels and let's just say I wore them longer than I should have. I bought them at Kate Spade Millenia in Orlando and they were just so comfortable and added that pop of color to my solid black wardrobe. My first "designer" purse was a Kate Spade. I still have it and haven't been able to part with it quiet yet although I've moved onto larger purses that allow me to carry more of my belongings.
Throughout the years I've seen several big brands like Target, H & M, Anthropologie, Anne Taylor Loft, and JCrew, tap into the wedding industry. Maybe I'm part of the Kate Spade target market, but I truly feel she did it best. She didn't enter the wedding industry trying to be a bridesmaid or wedding dress designer. She entered in as a lifestyle designer. Before lifestyle blogging was huge, Kate Spade was bringing life to the lifestyle concept. She took that approach and developed the most beautiful champagne flutes, compact mirrors that said "Mrs", and many other must haves. Here are a few of my Kate Spade must haves for engagements and wedding day! We know her legacy will continue through her family, friends, and team.
