Bridal Stylist Shares Top 5 From Berta Bridal Fall 2020 Collection

The Top 5 From Berta Bridal Fall 2020 Collection

A bridal stylist selects her top 5 from the Berta Bridal Fall 2020 Collection

Designer Berta Balilti debuted her fashions in Israel in 2004 with a small studio space in Ashdod, but over the past five years, her bridal gowns have become some of the hottest sought after designs in the United States. With her gowns constantly trending on social media and being seen on celebrities like Carrie Underwood, Megan Trainer, and Ariana Grande it was no surprise that her fall collection for 2020 was another success. Even Kevin Jonas and his wife were sitting in the front row of this bridal fashion show!

Seeing each new look come down the runway I found myself running out of room on my notepad because I kept on putting ‘love’ for every one of them! Her feminine soft silhouettes and emphasis on featuring the body with more daring slits and plunging necklines are a signature for Berta and her newest additions were no exception.

It is no secret that our brides here in Orlando, Florida are big fans of Berta and it seems like each time a new gown arrives the calls and messages pour in for more information on them! So to get the excitement going for our brides to be I have chosen five gowns from her fall 2020 line that made me drop my jaw a little more than the others because let's face it they were all pretty jaw-dropping. I am so excited to share these beautiful pieces with you and gush about their details!

Style 20-110

The first on my list is the debut gown in the runway show. Berta bridal wedding dress style 20-110 turned the corner and I knew after this first look that I was going to probably love everything that came after. This full-sleeved handcrafted lace gown with body-hugging trumpet skirt is both modern and vintage in the best way. The details in the floral pattern she created for this lace gown with the sheer skin tone underlay gave me a vintage icon feel and I love that she chose a more modest neckline going beyond the typical low cut fronts we often see her creations. Of course, she still gave it sex appeal with a full open back with a train of lace to follow just sealed the deal. This gown is definitely going to be on many bridal Pinterest boards!

Style 20-103

The next on my list of the top 5 Berta bridal dresses is another fit and flare style gown, but totally different from the first. Berta bridal wedding dress tyle 20-103 is a gown I automatically pictured on a Florida bride surrounded by beautiful florals and lush greens. Again, the detail on this gown is what sets it apart for me. The more I looked at it the more I saw and was mesmerized. It starts with a corset-style bodice that has delicate 3D embroidered cap sleeves that then float down into a nude mesh full illusion plunge open back. The body has a sparkle underlay that shimmers with every movement. Adorned over top you have embroidered florals and petals delicately placed on the bodice and through the body with crystal accents on top of the sparkle giving it dimension and depth. I love how the embroidery work goes down to the floor in a few specific places like vines on a tree and just fade away into the soft tulle skirt. The gown just floats as it moves with the tulle and then the illusion plunges back with the soft train behind is quite the dramatic finish.

Style 20-114

Now its time for one of the fuller gowns I absolutely fell in love with. Berta bridal style 20-114. When I saw this come down the runway I pictured a bridal moment on the lobby staircase of the Four Seasons Orlando Resort.

The celestial style beadwork on this full A-line gown is just stunning. Its delicate long sleeves with sparkle and embroidery trickling down the arms on a sheer fabric are such a beautiful feature especially with the scoop neckline that then turns into an open V cut back. The vision of a modern fairytale princess. The bursts of sparkle are thoughtfully placed throughout the sheer bodice covering the chest area and then you see even more detail at the natural waistline where she created almost a belt-like accent with larger beading and different tones of ivory across the front waist.

Flowing down the full skirt of the gown is more bursts and vines of sparkle and beading that reminded me of the chandelier piece created for the Four Seasons Orlando which is why I immediately saw this gown on that staircase. You can see the different tones of color she mixed within the gown to showcase the design which just beams as it moves sparkling all the way to the floor. For a bride who wants a modernized ball gown wedding dress, this definitely fits the bill.

Style 20-109

Now when it comes to bridal looks sometimes you want to have that princess moment and show off your body without having to purchase two different gowns for your big day. In comes Berta bridal style 20-109 to be your hat trick. This dress from my top 5 beautiful form-fitting gowns with a plunge front neckline and open v cut back has one of my favorite trends that I myself did for my wedding day, the detachable overskirt. This wedding dress is perfect for the girl who wants to have the drama of a full gown when she walks down the aisle, but still wants to dance and twirl with ease during her reception. Berta’s take on this concept not only gives you two different looks it also gives you a wow moment in both. The soft tulle overskirt goes about ¾ of the way around the gown leaving the front open to showcase the artistic handcrafted work of crystals and appliques that just shimmer and beam throughout the entire gown. The multiple layers of two tone colored tulle adds more drama to the gown as it floats like a puffy cloud. Two tone beaded appliques that mimic the floral vine like designs all over the fitted gown are also placed on the top waist of the overskirt so that it melts into the gown giving the illusion that it is all one piece. When the skirt comes off you find this masterpiece of sparkle with a two-toned underlay creating this magic of shimmer with every step. Seeing this gown move looks like the sparkle people try to achieve with photoshop posts. The delicate straps are also fully beaded leading down the shoulders and sides of the back leaving the center completely open to feature a brides beautiful back features dancing the night away. This beauty was definitely one of the top pics on my list and I think our Orlando and brides all over Florida will agree it is a stunner.

Style 20-107

It is time to share my fifth and final favorite from this Berta bridal collection and it is not going to disappoint. Berta bridal style 20-107 was the finale gown of her fall runway show and it left a sparkly last impression as the lights dimmed when it made its final few steps. This full ball gown has a full sparkle fabric throughout the entire gown all the way up to the corseted bodice. If you want to glow like the north star, this is the gown to see. There are delicate thin Swarovski crystal straps attached to the shimmering bodice and thin accent of crystals along the waistline that are the perfect feminine accent to this gown and I loved that it was the only crystal used. The bodice itself shows the boning and lines for added texture and the back has sheer underlay with the sparkle rather than lined to show just a hint of skin underneath the glow. The soft train that follows this ball gown is just enough with this dramatically sparkled cloud to leave your jaw open as it passes by everyone in the room. Although the gown is dripping in glitter and shine, I love that it was also soft and more tame than others in this collection being that it didn’t have tons of other bead work or appliques adorning it, it was just born to shine. Already splashing all over social media, this gown is going places in 2020.

Well, there you have it. My top 5 favorite wedding dresses from the fall 2020 Berta bridal collection. This collection has so many beauties that I must tell you if you loved my top picks you must go to her website to see the rest.
