When the wedding is over and your gown has been dry cleaned, there are endless ways to repurpose your gown. While there are so many ways to repurpose your gown, you may not have any inspiration from the exhaustion of months of wedding planning. Here are a few ways you can repurpose your gown after your wedding.

Hem your gown into an anniversary dress

Brides often think they can’t wear their wedding gowns again. However, this isn’t always the case! Consider booking an alterations appointment with your seamstress after the wedding. Most wedding gown styles can be hemmed into short dresses that can be worn on special events and anniversaries. Our bride, Pamela recently hemmed her gown after her wedding. We dry cleaned her gown and then our seamstress Sarah was able to re purpose her gown!

Make a Christening or Blessing Outfit

Repurpose your wedding gown into a christening or blessing gown for your children. This will be a sentimental and heirloom outfit that can be passed down through your family. If you are into scrapbooking or journaling, you can always cut a few pieces of the fabric in swatches for your wedding album. Adding hints of your dress to the album will bring texture and add storytelling throughout the book.
