Winter is such a wonderful time of the year to get married. From holidays to cozy weather, there is so much to look forward too. During the winter months, brides have endless options for wedding dresses & accessories. Higher necklines, long sleeves, and heavier fabrics like silk mikado or a brocade are perfect for keeping the bride fashion forward and warm.
In addition to the perfect winter wedding gown, accessories help keep the bride warm and on-trend. The perfect winter wedding accessories include hairpieces, a bolero, bridal cape, & gloves.
The Perfect Winter Wedding Hairpieces
Accessories complete every bridal look, no matter what time of year. Designers like Maria Elena Headpieces design a range of headpieces that are perfect for any bridal style. Because winter weddings tend to feel more formal, hair combs, crowns, and halos are perfect. No matter what texture or length your hair is, any bride can wear a hairpiece. While crowns are for a specific style bride, hairpieces like halos or combs are perfect for any bridal style. Crowns can be worn up-side down for a larger comb effect, seen below.

Bridal Gloves, Boleros & Capes.
Bridal gloves are a timeless accessory. They can be worn as a photo prop for portraits or be worn down the aisle. Designer, Girl & a Serious Dream designed the Catherine Couture French Lace gloves. These gloves are so special because they are designed with the same lace that was used to design Kate Middleton’s wedding gown by Alexander McQueen. These gloves are an heirloom piece that can be passed down from bride to bride.
While gloves serve as an accessory & warmth for the bride, another accessory that winter wedding brides can wear for warmth and style are bridal boleros and capes. Boleros are perfect when a bride wants to cover her shoulders for the ceremony or wants more warmth. Traditionally, boleros are made with French laces, however, because we specialize in custom changes, our brides can have a custom bolero made with any fabric and neckline. Boleros can be made detachable, so after the bride says “I do” she can remove it for the reception. Bridal capes are a fashion forward piece is that is perfect for the bride that wants to elevate her bridal look, but does not want to wear a veil. The additional piece to her wedding gown adds drama and fashion without the traditional look or feel.
