Our Favorite Wedding Day Essentials List!

What will you need? What have you forgotten? The stress of the wedding day fast approaches when you’re a bride. Last minute seating chart changes, cancellations or whatever else has been moved on to your plate!

It’s a lot. We get it and we’re here for you!

Growing up my mom always bought me practical things for my birthday and for the holidays. When she would surprise me with her hacks and tools for easy living, I was always excited to test them out. I’m sure “Oprah’s Favorite Things” inspired her.

Throughout my time as a bridal stylist, I’ve created a list of wedding day essentials and must have items brides should consider for their wedding day.

If you don’t need the extra support and you just need to cover the nippies, this is our go to brand. We personally use this product in the store and photo shoots. It works for different skin types. This is a must with a clean crepe or lightweight wedding dress. They are reusable with a little wash with dial hand soap.

This travel sized stain remover absorbs grease, oil and dairy based stains. This is perfect if you get a small stain anywhere on your dress. Think of it almost like a makeup concealer for your dress!

I started using Tech a year ago and now I find myself using it all over my house! It’s very gentle and has no fragrance. Of course every fabric is different so be super careful. I suggest testing a spot at the end of your hem. You may need to steam out the area after the Tech Remover is applied.

I wore a lace bridal robe for my getting ready photos and I felt like a queen! It’s not just a regular morning, so a little pampering is key. This is the same brand I purchased for my own wedding day. The lace is soft and delicate. It photographs so pretty. I’ve seen brides use this for maternity photos later.

It actually works! We have helped brides create more bust support in the dress with the use of boob tape. Our seamstress recommends it as well. We have used this for A-F bust cups. It takes some practice to get the right angles, but there are great videos and photos online to help. We like using the Nueboo brand.

Roberta and I discovered Still Standing spray when we were in New York for Bridal Fashion Week. It is a mild pain reliever you spray on your feet before you put your heels on. In my personal experience, it takes the pain level from a 7 down to a 3. It’s worth a try! Anything to help you through the day. Click here

We recommend hiring a steaming company to steam out your dress, veil, and bridesmaid dresses. When you are getting married in a remote location, that may not be an option. We recommend this travel steamer. We use this steamer at The Bridal Finery. Make sure to use bottled water. (note: for local weddings we highly recommend hiring a steaming company. Email me and I will try to locate a company in your area).
