In the height of the pandemic, Sally & Don were faced with challenges finalizing wedding plans. Of course, love prevailed and they shared a romantic and intimate elopement in Big Sur, California. When it was safer to celebrate they gathered their friends and family at the White Room in St. Augustine to celebrate, laugh and dance together!

Co-owner, Tali, styled Sally in a beautiful Ines Di Santo sleeveless gown. Sally finished off her bridal look with dangle earrings by Maria Elena and Italian veil.

Don proposed in Puerto Rico which was an anniversary trip. It was extra special because thats also the place they traveled together for the very first time. He gifted her a bracelet and then asked her to marry him!

What was your wedding dress shopping experience like?

Sally was so kind and lit up while talking about her wedding dress shopping experience, “It was the experience that I was really looking for. A warm welcoming experience. Tali was so helpful and caring, there was so much follow up and I felt a lot of love coming in here”. Sally also loved our seamstress, Sarah’s, patience and her beautiful work on her dress. “You helped me pick the dress that i totally loved, meant to be like it was waiting for me”

What bridal accessory was your favorite?

Maria Elena earrings and her veil! Sally said she loved how elegant the veil looked in her hair.

What is one thing you wish you knew before you started wedding planning?

“Don’t take on any stress, allow things to happen, don’t get too caught up in the details of everything, just enjoy the moments as they come along when you’re okay with changing things if you need to. Hire a wedding planner with experience.”

How would you describe the overall feel of your Big Sur Elopement?

“Celebratory! Everyone was so happy. Good vibes and just fun. Lots of dancing!”

Orange with greenery and rosemary, lots of candlelight

What are you enjoying most about newlywed life?

Each other spending mornings together before work, wake up together just us.and come back together.
