How did you & Jonathan meet?
I went to college with Jonathan's younger brother. We built a relationship through my annual work trips to Orlando and lots of long distance phone calls while I lived in Atlanta.
Where was your first date?
Our first official date was at Cocoa Beach, April 2018.

How did Jonathan propose?
He proposed at the Palmetto Cafe in Charleston on New Years Eve, 2019. He then surprised me by having all of our close family and friends at my parents house to celebrate and ring in the new year.

What bridal accessory was your favorite?
My hair piece and earrings from The Bridal Finery tied my look together and are such special pieces that I hope to keep in the family for generations to come.

What do you love most about your wedding venue?
I had found the venue randomly on Instagram and it became my dream venue. Jonathan and I have a similar love of the outdoors and the water so I knew it would embody our love story. Being surrounded by the beauty of the oak trees, the water, our family and friends is something I will never forget.

What is one thing you wish you knew before you started wedding planning?
I knew the day would fly by, I just couldn't imagine how insanely fast it would all be over. Don't sweat the small stuff, you won't remember it day of. Just enjoy every second.

How would you describe the overall feel of your event?
My goal for our wedding was to have a relaxed, whimsical atmosphere. The landscape was so beautiful that I didn't go crazy with decorating and worked to just enhance the natural beauty of the venue.

What wedding planning advice do you have for other brides?
Knock out all of the big things in the beginning. It'll be smooth sailing from there. Relax and enjoy the process.

Where will your honeymoon be?
We traveled to Antigua and stayed at Hammock Cove for 10 days the week after our wedding in September. We booked our travel with Unforgettable Honeymoons and had a great experience. They were very attentive and helped us navigate all of the changes that occurred due to COVID restrictions.

What are you enjoying most about newlywed life?
We are enjoying settling into our home and just relaxing as a family. Excited for this first Holiday season as a married couple. It's honestly been nice having time back from planning and not having the attention all on us anymore.
