We love backyard weddings at The Bridal Finery! Many of our brides are hosting elegant and sophisticated backyard weddings. The Bridal Finery real bride, Padgett and her husband Gregg hosted a classic wedding in Winter Park. Their outside wedding was set with details of white and gold. Their ceremony was complete with a floral arch made entirely of white hydrangeas and greenery. Moving into the reception, we fell in love with the table layout. Everyone sat side by side around the pool to toast and celebrate the newlyweds. There were so many classic wedding details that brought this backyard wedding to life! Bridal Stylist, Tali shares about Padgett’s wedding dress shopping experience and all the details on the Carolina Herrera wedding she said ‘yes!’ too!
Less than ten weeks ago, Padgett walked into The Bridal Finery to find her wedding dress. I sat down to learn more about her and Greg. Instantly, I could tell this is a woman with a sophisticated style. My mind started to wander toward the Carolina Herrera and Oscar De La Renta dresses. Within a few dress try ons she narrowed her search down to two Carolina Herrera dresses. Both suited her quite well. I pinned her hair up so she could see the full look. She went with the strapless gown providing her more flexibility to hug and dance. The other Carolina gown was beautiful on her but restricted her arms. Next came the dress fittings. Our seamstress Sarah encouraged her to wear the dress as it was designed. The dress came with a detachable skirt and can be worn several ways.
On her wedding day, I had a chance to stop by and assist with the dress. I was able to see the beautiful floral decor and all the work that went into her Winter Park wedding. Each little detail was an extension of Padgett’s chic style. So elegant but welcoming, just like her. I don’t think I’ve ever seen calmer bride. When I first saw her she was checking in and asking if anyone needed anything. She offered me champagne! I was tempted for sure but I needed to get back to the store to pack up and head to Chicago for a bridal retreat.
