A Romantic Florida Wedding at Howey Mansion with Candles and White Flowers

In January a stylist friend reached out to me to recommend her friend Melissa to our store. Because of who recommended her I knew Melissa was going to be our fashion-forward bride. She walked into the boutique in a nicely tailored black dress with black stiletto heels. You know I love little black dresses, so I immediately clicked with Melissa. She shared her Iceland engagement story with me and told me she was considering Howey Mansion for her wedding day.

We started looking at very sleek, chic bridal gowns. Then, I thought about a Rita Vineris gown we had just received. It was still in the garment bag in the back. I knew before I showed it to her that it would be the one but I kept that to myself. The moment she slipped on the dress it was obvious this would be the dress she would wear down the aisle. More lace than she may of thought. A different color tone than she thought. At the same time, that is what made the dress so special. A beautiful surprise!

Now onto accessories! We styled the dress with a short Italian tulle veil and a Maria Elena Hairpiece. Melissa definitely knows how to piece a look together. We worked together on earrings. She ended up being the one to find the perfect pair. I had them sent in for her to see. They added added an appropriate amount of glamour to a full lace dress.

Throughout her engagement, I had the opportunity to meet her three daughters. It was obvious family is a huge part of her life. Her daughters wore black bridesmaid dresses. The Howey Mansion looked so elegant with orchids every where! The orchids were from Ginny’s Orchids. Her bouquet is by In Bloom . Hair and makeup by Kat from The Beauty Factorie. Wedding Planner POP Events & Design. Photos by Daylin Lavoy. You would never guess the wedding was planned in 90 days! And then the honeymoon…
